Clare Mann, organisational psychologist, existential psychotherapist and author assists individuals and organisations to develop greater work/life integration. In organisations, these individuals are then equipped to create a win-win solution through design and implementation of the alternative workplace. She is located near Picton, New Zealand and practises throughout Australasia.
Over the past 17 years, Clare has worked as an occupational psychologist, university academic and management consultant. During this time, she was always interested in personal change and met clients and colleagues for whom freedom was just a word. Disillusioned with socially defined expectations & goals, those people repeatedly asked "Why am I not happy? I have achieved what I set out to achieve. I have the career, the car, the salary".
Tired of the rat race and the imbalance in her own work and personal life, she began seeking reasons to those questions so commonly asked. Clare, whose practice is informed by existential principles, believes we are each the best judge of what is right for us. However, most of us from the outset start on a path we believe will bring us happiness. For many it might. For most of us, we are influenced by the politics, expectations and pressures of others who have chosen a similar path before. We never get in touch with our freedom the freedom to choose the life we want to live. It is only by examining the role that Myths play in our life, that we can re-evaluate our choices to date and create greater integration between our work and personal lives - NOW.
From her wide training and development experience, Clare has developed a range of personal and organisational development programmes to access the myriad of options open to us all. A year out in Europe enabled her to fine-tune her ideas and develop her passion assist organisations and individuals in choosing greater integration between their work and personal lives.
Currently Clare is working on her fourth book and is available to see clients in person in Wellington. However she is able to work with a limited number of clients over the telephone or internet. Please see the contact page for more details.
